David Guerrero, 27, Altus, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Altus City Cemetery Centennial Memorial Chapel with Tom Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. David was born June 20, 1983 to Pedro and Tomasita (Martinez) Guerrero in Altus, Oklahoma. He attended school in Altus and obtained some college. He married Jodie Guidry on March 8, 2008 in Patterson, LA. He was a heavy machinery operator, working for Plains Cotton Compress for one year. He enjoyed all sports; especially soccer and was a referee for little league soccer teams. He had a great love for animals. He loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kindheartedness and gentle spirit. He supported his family in every way that he could. He offered loving encouragement for his little brother. His family and friends will always remember his smile that could light an entire room. David is preceded in death by his son, David Paul Guerrero, maternal grandparents, Alfonso Martinez, Tomasa Martinez and Jose Martinez; paternal grandmother, Amalia Guerrero; and father-in-law, Paul P. Guidry, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jodie, of the home, mother Tomasita Guerrero of Altus, OK, father, Pedro Guerrero of Altus, OK; sister, Guadalupe McDaniel and husband Robert of Alabama; brothers, Antonio Guerrero of Altus, OK, Jose Guerrero and wife Priscilla; nephews, Jose Pedro Santiago Guerrero, Cameron and Paul P. Guidry IV of Pierre Part, LA, Cade and Jace Guidry of Morgan City, LA; nieces, Amalia Marcela McDaniel and Samydah Isabel Guerrero, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as a host of friends. Viewing and visitation will be available Sunday and Monday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home.
