Debra Lynn was born on February 1, 1956, in Sentinel, Oklahoma, to Earl Dean and Mary Lerlene (Minchew) Jobe. Lovingly known as Debbie, she moved with her family to Blair during her formative years, where she attended school and graduated from Blair High School. She later attended Altus Junior College and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Southwest Vo-Tech.
Debbie and Michel Lee Miller eloped to Vernon, Texas, where they were married on December 14, 1973. Their 50 years together were filled with adventure, laughter, and cherished family time with their four children: Cherri, JoAnna, Teresa, and Casey. A caregiver at heart, Debbie devoted her life to caring for others - whether tending to a beautiful garden, nurturing family pets, or offering a warm, steady presence to her children, grandchildren, and anyone in need.
She and Mike loved to travel, and Debbie never missed the chance to stop at every market or roadside shop to take in the sights. From each destination, she collected a rock, later placing it carefully in her rock garden as a reminder of the memories they shared. Though she enjoyed seeing the world, her heart was always most at home with her family.
Debbie also found joy in her flower gardens, tending her yard with gentle care and pride. Known for her fun-loving spirit, her home became the gathering place for celebrations of all kinds - family cookouts, holiday gatherings, tea parties, and birthday parties for grandchildren and even the family dogs. Her home was the heart of the Miller family.
The rock of her family, Debbie passed away peacefully at her home in Blair, surrounded by those she loved, on Friday, November 21, 2025, just 23 months after the passing of her beloved husband, Mike. The depth of her love, warmth, and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Debbie’s unwavering love will live on in her children, Cherri Calvery and husband, Jacob, Joanna Welch and husband, David, Teresa Miller, and Casey Miller and wife, Jill: eighteen beautiful grandchildren, Tyler Owens, Kaylee Rangel, Jaci Calvery, Chaselynn Calvery, Chancee Calvery, Damon Welch, Jennifer Bowler, Brody Welch, Ledger Welch, Sierra Cheek, Weslee Miller, Serenity Anderson, Cole Miller, Caleb Miller, Jack Owenby, Chloe Owenby, Caitlyn Owenby, and Carly Owenby: five adored great-grandchildren, Archer Rangel, Ricky Cheek, Asher Welch, Haley Anderson, and Hudson Cheek: sisters, Peggy Ann Thomas, Ella “Sue” Kendrick, and Vicki “Diane” Crofford: special niece, Lisa Jackson and husband, Sam: and numerous others nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
