Donald E. Wolford

Donald Eugene “Don” Wolford, 73, Altus, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. Services with Air Force Honors and Masonic Rites will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Burial will follow at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane, Washington.

Donald Eugene Wolford was born on July 5, 1949 in Kokomo, Indiana to Ralph E. and Betty L. (Rivers) Wolford. He attended Kokomo High School and graduated with the Class of 1967. Don married Sharon Parkins on September 3, 1971 in Spokane, Washington. He earned a bachelor’s degree in of Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1983. Don faithfully served in the United States Air Force for 23 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant at Altus Air Force Base. He worked several more years for civil service, beginning in the Tool Crypt before retiring as the Supervisor of the civil engineering structures. Don was an active in the Altus Masonic Lodge #62, Shriners International, the Scottish Rite, and the York Rite. He enjoyed bass fishing, car racing, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs.

His parents, Ralph and Betty, preceded him in death. Don is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 51 years; daughter, Stephanie Soliz and husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Logan, Sydney, and Ella Soliz; and many friends.
