Imogene Burrows Moran, 92, of Altus, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Donald Altom officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Imogene Perry was born on January 10, 1931 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Reuben Thomas and Effie Isabell (Crawford) Perry. She attended school at Laing at graduated with the Class of 1949. Imogene married John Earl Burrows, Jr. on September 27, 1950 in Frederick. They shared 54 years of marriage until his death in 2004. Imogene worked as a housewife until 1969 when she went to work at Kellwood Sewing Factory in Altus until it closed in 1989. She then worked as a nurse’s aide until retiring in 1997. Imogene married Donald Lee Moran on April 6, 2005 in Sherman, Texas and they shared 13 years before his death. She enjoyed sewing and was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Tipton.
Her husbands, John and Donald; son, Benny Dean Burrows; daughters-in-law, Barbara and Kathy; parents, Reuben and Effie; sisters, Josephine Grubbs and Verna Mae Stewart; and brothers, Bryson, A.L., Donald, Cleo, Wesley, J.B. and R.T. Perry preceded her in death. Those left to honor Imogene’s memory are her sons, Billy Earl Burrows and Bobby Gene Burrows; grandchildren, Shawn Burrows and wife, Erica, Amber Burrows, Nicole Miraglio and husband, Andy, Levi Burrows and wife, Samantha, and Ashley McNear and husband, Ryan; and great grandchildren, Jaycee, Maycee, Kaycee and Brentlee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
