Jake McWayne Lewis

Jake McWayne Lewis, 23, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Viewing will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 6th until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 7th, at the True Life Church with Rev. Michael Wright officiating. A burial will follow at Navajoe Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Jake was born on December 30, 2000, in Altus to Kevin Wayne and Manette Rae (Naeve) Lewis. He attended Navajo School, graduating with the Class of 2019. He also attended the automotive technology program at Southwest Technology Center where he was a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Jake lived life to the fullest, every minute he could. He especially loved to hunt, fish, and being outdoors; some even described Jake as a ‘true outdoors man’. Jake was always a joker and looking for the next adventure. His love for the outdoors was only topped by the love he recently discovered with Lexi.

Jake loved the Lord with all his heart and was dedicated to His service. He served in many ways and was the Men’s Ministry Director where he was a faithful member of the True Life Church in Altus. His love for life was second to his love for God. 

Jake was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eddie Lewis. His legacy will live on in his parents, Kevin and Manette; sisters, Anna Ochoa and husband, Manny and Sarah Lewis; nephew, Clayton McWayne; nieces, Madeline & Michaela; paternal grandmother, June Lewis; maternal grandparents, Paul & Mary Naeve; the love of his life, Lexi Willis; a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, church family, and his faithful dog, “Dummy Dog”.
