James ‘Red’ Alvin Clark, Jr., A.K.A. Jimmy, 71, resident of Altus, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. A burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Air Force Honors will be rendered by the Blue Knights Honor Guard of Altus Air Force Base.

 

James Alvin Clark, Jr. was born on March 26, 1953, to his late mother, Joan Clark, and late father, James Alvin Clark, Sr, in Jackson, Tennessee. He grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, where he graduated high school. Following his graduation, Red volunteered for The United States Air Force. He met Glenda Marie Durrough at her graduation in May of 1973, and they were married on December 10, 1982. During his time in the Air Force, Red was stationed at Altus Air Force Base where he and his wife, Glenda, decided to stay and raise their family. Upon his separation from the Air Force, Red started working at the Gypsum Factory as a certified forklift driver and spent over 35 years working here. Red loved to play softball and he enjoyed playing pool. 

 

Red is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Marie (Durrough) Clark; mother, Joan Clark; father, James Clark, Sr.; son, John Calvin Clark; granddaughter, Tasheanna Clark; grandson, James Antonio Nicholos Clark; and nephew, Dominique ‘Nicky’ Clark. He is survived by his sons; Antonio Clark, wife, Akeia; Mitchell Clark, special friend, Rebecca Taylor; James Clark, III, wife, Jaighla; Nicholas Clark, wife, Tamera; daughter, Sabrina McBurrows, husband, Frederick; brother, Michael Clark; sister, Ann Clark; grandchildren, Antonio’s children, Aryonna Umbria, Iyanna Hugh, Jr., Ty Keem, Cortez Clark, and Antonia Clark; Mitchell’s son, Mitchell, III; James’s children, Jamiyah, Emari, Gianni, Messiah, and Zaire; Nicholas’s children, Nicholas, Jr. and Niyah; Sabrina’s children, David, Joseph, and Leah; and great grandchildren, Kenyanna; Kameron; and Kareem.
