Obituary

Jerry Lee Whittington, a longtime resident of Blair, Oklahoma, passed from this life to the next on July 1, 2026. Jerry was born to Victor and Lois (Dobbs) Whittington in Grandfield, Oklahoma on April 15, 1947.

Jerry attended school in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He grew up along the Red River where he enjoyed fishing with his brothers. Jerry enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard and served for six years before he received an honorable discharge in December 1970. Jerry and his brothers worked for many local farmers, and he could often be found sitting outside the All American in Blair drinking coffee with his brother, Arlis.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ronald Whittington and Arlis Whittington; and two sisters, Sharon Lavoie, and Vicky Shaw. Survivors include two brothers, Donald Whittington and wife, Marlene of Chehalis, Washington and Kirby Myers of Memphis, Texas; two sisters, Jeanie and husband, Pete Steinmetz of Havre, Montana and Janice Oak of Prescott, AZ; a host of nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Inurnment at Blair Cemetery will be held at a later date. Online memorial tributes and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.kincannonfuneralhome.com.
