Jon “Greg” Pearce passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Born on December 6, 1964 in Altus, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Randal Neil and Betty Jo (Lyons) Pearce.
Greg possessed an infectious passion for life and a lifelong dedication to helping those in need. Although the Lord and his family were his greatest loves, Greg never passed up an opportunity to get in on a competitive sporting event. If he was not on a track racing BMX or Motocross bikes or on the lake skiing, you probably would find him on a basketball court for a pickup game or coaching his sons’ basketball teams. Greg’s inherent love of music was evident to everyone who knew him. He enjoyed many years traveling the country playing in bands, working with upcoming artists at his recording studio and looking forward to every opportunity for a family music get together.
Greg always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. He thrived on the exchange of interesting ideas with friends and always had time to encourage others in time of need. The legacy of Greg’s kind spirit and character will live on through all whom had the blessing of knowing him.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly, of 19 years; his three sons, Tanner of Bradenton, FL, Trey of Austin, TX and Gavin of Englewood, FL; his daughter, Kaylei of Tulsa, OK; his three brothers, Tony (Debbie) of Altus, OK, David (Deb) of McCloud OK and Allen (Jessica) of Shawnee, OK; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and lifelong friends.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus, OK. A Celebration of Life gathering is scheduled for 3 PM - 6 PM Saturday at the Privett Event Center on Falcon Road.
