Josephine Trevino Garcia Smith, 51, Wichita Falls, Texas, formerly of Olustee, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2010 at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel, Altus, with Pastor Loyd Lopez officiating. Funeral and cremation services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Josephine was born December 23, 1958 to Perfecto and Ygnasia (Trevino) Garcia in Altus, Oklahoma. She grew up in Olustee but traveled with her family to Florida and Nebraska as migrant workers for many years. She married Joseph Smith, August 11, 1991. She was a hard working woman and was a Certified Nurses Assistant for many years and enjoyed working in nursing homes. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, fishing, and taking care of people. She loved music, especially listening to her brother’s play, and she also loved her dogs. Her parents, Perfecto and Ygnasia Garcia, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charlie and Helen S. Smith, three brothers, Ramiro, Felipe, and Rogelio Garcia, two sisters, Maria Garcia and Ofelia Cordero, four nephews, Ramiro Garcia, Jr., Javier Guerrero, Eliasar Marez, Elijah Marez, and two nieces, Heather Garcia and Laura Marez, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Smith of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Ramiro Garcia and Sarah of Olustee, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana Brown and Quincy of Altus, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Ericka Garcia, Ramiro Patrick Garcia, and Katelynn Garcia, all of Olustee, Oklahoma; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Garcia and Josephina of Altus, Oklahoma, Richard Garcia and Maria of Lawton, Perfecto Garcia and Elsa of Altus, Oklahoma, Randy Garcia of Altus, Oklahoma, Rudy Garcia and Naomi of Olustee, Oklahoma, Ruben Garcia of Eldorado, and Robert Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Mary Lou Garcia and her husband, Luis, and Lily Wolfe and her husband Glenn, all of Dallas, Texas; and several other nieces nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
