Blair

Judy Kaye (Gant) Dollar, beloved mother, Nana, sister, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 16, 2026.

Born in Frederick, Oklahoma, on August 6, 1947, to Arthur Carl and Lenora Mae (Minyard) Gant, Judy spent her life rooted in the values of faith, family, hard work, and kindness. After graduating with the Frederick High School Class of 1965, Judy briefly attended Oklahoma State University before transferring to Southwestern Oklahoma State College. It was there that a pivotal blind date introduced her to a jovial, sharp-dressed young man named James Edward “Jim” Dollar. The pair were united in marriage on August 4, 1967.

The newlyweds made their home in Olustee and welcomed their first born, Stacy, before relocating to Plainview, Texas, where their family was completed by the addition of Kayla. The family then moved back closer to their roots, making their home in Blair, where they raised their adored daughters.

Judy began working for the Blair Public Works Authority before beginning a career at People’s State Bank as a cashier. Through dedication, hard work, and a genuine love for serving others, she steadily advanced to the position of Vice President. During her 35-year career, Judy became a cherished member of the community and a familiar face to generations of local families. Judy served as the Treasurer for Blair Public Schools for many years, working closely with administration to manage district finances and operating within budgetary guidelines. She also faithfully served on the Board of Directors for People’s State Bank, a position she held until her passing.

Judy was a trusted friend, a helping hand, and a source of encouragement to countless customers and coworkers. Her warm smile, caring heart, and unwavering work ethic left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

While her professional accomplishments were many, Judy’s greatest joy was her family. She loved deeply and unconditionally, always placing the needs of others before her own. She possessed a feisty spirit, a quick wit, and a heart large enough to make everyone feel welcome. Her faith in the Lord guided every season of her life, and she lived as an example of grace, compassion, and generosity.

Judy’s sense of style was truly iconic. Whether in her wardrobe or her home, she always added her own special touch of class and elegance. In her free time, Judy especially enjoyed simple moments with the people she loved—shopping outings with her girls and getting her nails done were among her favorite pastimes. These times together reflected the joy she found in togetherness, laughter, and making memories.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Judy is now reunited with those who went before her and is resting in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served. Welcoming her home were her husband of 44 years, Jim; her parents, Arthur and Lenora; her sister, Carleta Ramsey; and her in-laws, Buford and Claudine Dollar.

Judy’s legacy of love, faith, and selflessness will live on through her daughters, Stacy Wright and husband, Steve and Kayla James and husband, Jimmy; her grandchildren, Emilie James, Jace James, and Macaulee Miller; her great-grandchildren, Greyson, Karsyn, Arielle, and Odesza; her cherished circle of Blair ladies including the Golden Girls; as well as many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and friendship.

The family will formally greet friends from 5:30 - 7:30 PM on Thursday, June 18th, at Kincannon Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, June 19th, at First Baptist Church in Blair with Pastor Doug Altom officiating. Judy will be laid to rest at Blair Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Altus Christian Academy's Kingdom Campaign. Altus Christian Academy held a special place in Judy's heart as this is where her grandchildren started their school journey, and she believed deeply in the importance of Christian education. Supporting the Kingdom Campaign would be a meaningful way to honor her legacy and invest in the continued growth of Christ-centered education for future generations. Memorial gifts may be made online through Altus Christian Academy's website or by check payable to Altus Christian Academy and mailed to: Altus Christian Academy | Attn: Kingdom Campaign | 1220 N. Grady Street Altus, OK 73521. Please note "In Memory of Judy" with your gift so that memorial contributions may be properly recognized.
