Judy Kay Taylor, 74, went to be with our Lord Thursday May 8, 2025, peacefully at home. Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15th, at First Baptist Church in Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Pallbearers included Richard Simmons, Kris Taylor, Jeremy Goodger, McCade Goodger, Justin Robinson and Kaleb Hubert. Honorary Pallbearers were Don Taylor, Don Patterson, Rodney Tedrow, Jack Taylor, and Chad Taylor.
Judy was born on November 3, 1950, to William “Pat” and Evelyn (Rasbury) Goodger in Fort Worth, Texas. She married the love of her life, Tim Taylor, on December 13, 1969, at the First Baptist Church in Boyd, they were together for many wonderful years. Judy dedicated many years of her life as a vault manager for Bank One before enjoying a well-deserved retirement. A graduate of Boyd High School, she had a deep passion for travel, which led her to live in Germany with her husband during his time in the military.
Beyond her adventures, Judy found immense joy in being a Nanna. Her family meant the world to her, and the time she spent with them was a precious source of happiness in her life. Judy was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Evelyn Goodger; and her husband, Tim Taylor. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Shelley Simmons and husband Richard of Altus, Oklahoma; her son, Kris Taylor and wife Rachale of Cottondale; her grandchildren, Sydney Hubert and husband Kaleb, Anna Robinson and husband Justin all of Altus, Oklahoma and Charley Taylor of Cottondale; her great grandchildren, Collyns and Riggins Hubert and Scarlet Robinson; her brother, Bill Goodger and wife Sherri of Boyd; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, extended family members and host of friends.
