June Bryan

“June” Bryan, 72, Altus, passed away pm Thursday, July 1, 2010. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. She was born March 5, 1938 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Bill and Lona Shaw. She attended school in Mountain Park, Ok where she played basketball. June married Harold Dean Bryan February 17, 1954 and they resided in many areas due to his occupation. June attended Beauty School and operated a beauty shop in Snyder for a time until her interest in nursing became apparent. She attended Nursing School at the head of her class and for 30 years embraced her love of nursing at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She retired due to health reasons. June is survived by a brother, Bill Shaw, Clovis, N.M., a sister, Betty Shaw, Lawton, a granddaughter, Reanna Kroboth, Oklahoma City, a niece, Marcella Ivins, Lawton, and many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Mark and Lynn Camp, Altus. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Bryan, a brother, Earl Shaw, two sisters, Velma Parker and Ruby Harrison. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
