Martin Anthony Ruiz was born on October 26, 1972, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Martin and Linda (Roacha) Ruiz. He grew up in Altus and attended Navajoe High School. He spent most of his life in Altus before later settling in Headrick.

Martin was a true outdoorsman who loved all things fishing and hunting, as well as spending time with animals. He always dreamed of owning his own ranch. A natural jokester, Martin had a way of lighting up a room with his humor. Even if you were the butt of the joke, you couldn’t help but laugh. He always knew just what to say and how to say it, lifting others up and offering the advice they needed most.

Above all, he valued time spent with his family, especially his children. Martin’s family fondly recalls his guiding motto, “Give it your best.” He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, and his lasting impact will forever remain in their hearts.

Martin passed from this life on January 17, 2026, at the age of 53. He was preceded in death by his parents.

His memory lives on through his girlfriend, Rebecca; his three daughters, Tammy Wiseman, Modena Aranda, and Anna Marie Ruiz; his son, Marcos Ruiz; and many other relatives and friends.
