Mary Juanita (Hensley) Davis of Blair, Oklahoma passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 89.
Juanita was born on July 19, 1936, in Covington, Tennessee, to Robert Douglas and Willie Mae (Barbee) Hensley. Soon after, the family relocated to North Little Rock, Arkansas where Juanita spent her formative years. After graduating from high school, she married Huey P. Davis on November 14, 1954, in Greenville, Mississippi. They were blessed with three daughters: Debbie, Cathy, and Mindy. In 1968, the family moved to Altus Air Force Base and later chose to make southwest Oklahoma their permanent home following Huey’s retirement.
A devoted woman of faith, Juanita was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Blair. She faithfully served her church family for many years, helping with countless services and working as church secretary for over 17 years alongside Pastor Randy Mitchell. After his retirement, Juanita began attending First Baptist Church in Altus where she held membership until her passing. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting flea markets and even attending the well-known Rattlesnake Derby in Mangum. Her family fondly recalls her spending countless years selling Avon. Among life’s many blessings, Juanita most valued the time she lovingly spent with her grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Huey; daughter, Debbie; and parents, Douglas and Willie Mae.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Cathy Korinek and husband, Chris and Mindy Gianettino-Stone and husband, Chuck; sister, Linda Huston; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as all her loving church family members and many friends.
