Maudine Elliott was born on August 13, 1938, in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Ben and Vivian (White) McBroom. She attended Sentinel Public Schools where she later graduated in 1957. After obtaining a master’s degree in education from the University of Southwestern Oklahoma State University she began her teaching career at Granite Public School. She transferred to Blair Public School where she continued to shape the minds of generations of students before her retirement.
On July 18,1958, Maudine married the love of her life, Donnie L. Elliott. She was a member of Blair First Baptist Church, where she loved to sing and worship the before the Lord. Maudine volunteered her services assisting with children’s Bible school and youth missions throughout the community.
Her biggest passion was her family. Maudine dedicated her life to protecting, providing, and loving her husband, her children, and her grandchildren with all her heart. After 87 years of love and dedication to others, Maudine passed from this life on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Maudine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donnie; her parents, Ben and Vivian; and her sister, Nadine McBroom. Her memory lives on in her two sons, Ray Dean Elliott and Wesley Elliott; one daughter, Donna Bowen; three granddaughters, Shelby Elliott, Shauna Elliott, and Whitlee Bowen; and a host of church family and many former students.
Maudine will be laid to rest next to Donnie at the Blair Cemetery in a private, graveside service. Online tributes may be made at www.kincannonfuneralhome.com.
