Mildred Laverne Biddy, 87, Warren, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the home of her son, Leon, in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Warren Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Osborne and Rev. Terry Colwell officiating. Burial will follow at the Warren Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Mildred was born on May 21, 1923 to B.A. and Pearl Spencer in Warren, Oklahoma. After graduation from Warren High School, she married Ray A. Biddy at Blair, Oklahoma. They purchased the Biddy Homestead and raised their four children there. Both Ray and Mildred lived their entire lives in the Warren Community. Mildred was an active member of the Warren Baptist Church, continuously, since 1937. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary at the Martha Gin until her retirement after approximately twenty years of service. She worked with the original committees, forming the Warren Community Association and later served as the secretary of the organization for approximately twenty years. Her parents, husband, a son, Ronald, a daughter-in-law, Lora, wife of Gerry, a son-in-law, John Risenhoover, husband of Marilyn, four brothers, Earl, Guy, Woodrow and Ross, and two sisters, June and Mary, preceded her in death. Survivors include three children, Leon and wife, Susan, of Iowa Park, Texas, Marilyn of Andrews, Texas, and Gerry of Benbrook, Texas; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at Kincannon Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warren Baptist Church or to the Warren Cemetery Fund, 15403 SCR 2112, Blair, OK 73526.
