Patrick Thomas “Pat” Moriarity, 61, passed from this life peacefully surrounded by his wife, two daughters, and close family members on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Mangum, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 8th. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 9th, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Patrick Thomas Moriarity was born on July 11, 1963, in Buffalo, New York to Francis Maurice and Patrica Jane (O’Connell) Moriarity. The family was on a summer vacation which originated in California in 1967, and while traveling, stopped to visit Pat’s oldest sister who was married to a gentleman who was stationed at Altus Air Force Base. After that visit Francis liked the area so much, he made Altus their forever home.
Pat attended school in Altus. He married Dora Torrez on February 19, 1982, in Altus and together they raised two daughters, Crystal and Brittany. Pat was a truck driver by trade. Pat, Dora, and their two daughters moved to Olustee and it has been their home since 1995. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. Pat would reserve Sunday afternoons and even some Saturday nights solely for NASCAR. He enjoyed cook outs, family gatherings, playing cornhole, volleyball, and watching OU football and softball, BOOMER SOONER!!!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Patrica Moriarity; and sisters, Kathleen Wysocki and Colleen Marshall. Those left to honor Pat’s memory are his wife of 42 years, Dora; daughters, Crystal Cobb and husband, Randy and Brittany Vidaurri and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Raigan Rodrigues, Kennedi Cobb, Bray Cobb, Jennie Cobb, Joseph Basaldua, RJ Vidaurri, Adain Garcia, Axel Garcia, and Emma Vidaurri; siblings, Michael Moriarity, Timothy Moriarity, and Tammy Rosalez; life-long friends, Richard Thompson and Kevin Smith; as well as many other family and friends.
