Phyllis Joyce
Adams
February 8, 1936 – March 17, 2026
Phyllis Joyce Adams, a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, with her beloved husband, Bud, faithfully by her side—just as he had been throughout their life together.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 23, 2026, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Gary Beach officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma.
Phyllis was born in Pryor, Oklahoma, to Novy Webster and Ether F. (Wheeler) Speer and attended school in Childers. On September 2, 1978, she married Grover “Bud” Adams, in Masham, Oklahoma. Together, they shared 47 years of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
She spent her working years with the Lugert-Altus Irrigation District, where she was known for her dependability and quiet strength. But her greatest work was the life she built at home—one filled with warmth, creativity, and care for those she loved.
Phyllis was just one of those people who made things feel warm and welcoming. She loved getting lost in a good book, spending time out in her garden, and putting her own special touch on everything she decorated, always with that Southwestern style she loved. She treasured her family above all else, and some of her happiest moments were spent in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado—a place where she felt truly at peace.
More than anything, Phyllis will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet grace, and the steady love she gave so freely to those around her. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Bud; her children, Susan Stipe, Jacinda Price, Steve Price, and Ronnie Stipe; her grandchildren, Brandy Price and Ryan Stipe; and many dear friends who will miss her deeply and remember her always.
