Randy Edward Weber was born on the 3rd day of July, 1950, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Edward Eugene and Norma Lou (Kaufman) Weber. He was raised in Olustee alongside his sister, Jackie, and graduated with the Class of 1968. Randy married Sandra Lea “Sandy” Lamb on August 21, 1969, in Vernon, Texas. Not one to stray far from tradition, Randy and Sandy made their home in Olustee, where they built a life intentionally rooted in family and the community he dearly loved.

Randy never ventured too far from Olustee until he was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He proudly served for two years and was stationed in Okinawa before returning home to the land he treasured. He attended Cameron University, earning a bachelor’s degree in education. A true Eagle at heart, Randy taught and coached at Olustee High School, where he was a familiar and encouraging presence to generations of students and athletes. In retirement, he continued serving his community as a member of the Olustee Board of Education from 1997 until 2009.

Throughout the years, Randy was a dedicated farmer and rancher in southern Jackson County. He never missed an Olustee event, whether it was a community gathering or a school activity. His love for his community was evident in the way he consistently showed up and supported those around him. Randy faithfully served for 20 years with the Olustee Volunteer Fire Department, giving his time and talents to help protect the community he called home.

Randy was simply a fun guy to be around. He would welcome friends and family to cookouts and was always happy to show off his grill-master skills. He enjoyed fishing, loved to dance, and had a special appreciation for old rock-and-roll music.

Randy passed from this life on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 76. He had a way of making people feel welcome, and his easygoing spirit, sense of humor, and genuine love for Olustee will be remembered by all who knew him. He was a proud husband, father, educator, farmer, rancher, veteran, community servant, and friend. His roots ran deep in southwest Oklahoma and his presence in the Olustee community will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Sandy; and parents, Edward and Norma. His legacy will live on in his son, Chad Weber and wife, Samantha (Sulphur); sister, Jackie Kenmore and husband, Terry (Creta); grandson, Garrett Weber; great-grandchildren, Madison, Remington, Reagan, and Kennedy Weber; sister-in-law, Karen Kelly and husband, Eddie; brothers-in-law, Don Lamb and Todd Lamb; a host of nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Tom Cox.
