Rebecca Ellen (Jones) Lary, 68, Quanah, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Wichita Falls, Texas. A graveside service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Eldorado Cemetery with Jack Moore officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A memorial book may be signed at Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus.
Rebecca Ellen Jones was born on January 31, 1955 in Amarillo, Texas to Macele “Spunk” and Oma Ellen (Mitchell) Jones. She grew up in Amarillo and then Burkburnett, Texas, where she graduated high school. Rebecca attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas and graduated with her bachelor’s degree. She had previously worked as a mechanics instructor at Sheppard Air Force Base for several years. Rebecca was a member of the Quanah Church of Christ, and she loved Doris Day movies.
Her parents and a brother, Randy Jones, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Patience Newsom and husband, Shawn; a grandson, Kaden Newsom; a brother, Duane Jones; and two nephews, Macele and Josh Jones.
