Roxie Hensley, 74, Altus, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at her home. A memorial reception will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Kincannon Funeral Home with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Roxie Briggs was born on August 4, 1946 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Noel Emil and Lois (Riley) Briggs. Roxie grew up in Western Oklahoma and graduated from Reydon High School, where she met and married Quinlin Hensley on August 11, 1963. They made their home in Western Oklahoma, specifically Cheyenne, and then settled in Altus, Oklahoma where they raised their daughter and granddaughter.
Roxie and Quinlin owned and operated Hensley Tax and Computer Service in Altus for over 25 years. Roxie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who in her spare time loved to travel, crochet, ride motorcycles, bowling, play the organ, and spend time with family, especially her granddaughter and 2 great grandsons. Roxie loved to attend the annual Riley Reunion each year.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Quinlin Hensley, father, Noel Briggs, her mother and stepfather, Lois and Vint Thomas, and her brothers, Thomas and Jessie Briggs.
She is survived by her daughter, Stacie Deann Hensley of Altus, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Jessica Dawn Hensley of Moore, Oklahoma; 2 great grandsons, Bennie Summers and Grayson Summers, both of Moore, Oklahoma; 2 siblings, Ronnie Briggs and wife, Joy, of Ulysses, Kansas, and Pat Collins of Durham, Oklahoma; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Roxie’s name at cancer.org.

The family requests that if you attend the service please practice Social Distancing and wear face coverings.
