Stephanie G. Mizelle, 61, Altus passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021. Services have been provided by Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The Mizelle family will honor her life with a private family memorial at a later date.
Stephanie Gail Deck was born to George and Gayle (McPeek) Deck on April 22, 1960 in Easton, Pennsylvania. The family had moved to Texas where she graduated from Lake View High School, San Angelo, Texas, with the Class of 1978. Stephanie married Jim Mizelle in November of 1981 in San Angelo, Texas and they were married for 24 years. To this union three children were born - Megan, Amanda and Matthew. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, taking care of the needs of her family and loving time spent together. Stephanie enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, spending time with her friends and family and appreciating the company of her constant companion, her pet dog “Lilly”.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Marecek. She is survived by her father, George Deck; her mother, Gayle Marecek; two daughters, Megan Smith and husband, David; and Amanda Mizelle; one son, Matthew Mizelle; a grandson, Tayden Smith; a sister, Debbie Gravelle and husband, Greg; a brother, David Deck and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
