Tommy Howard Davlin arrived in this world on January 28, 1939. He was born to Chrystine (Chennault) Morrison in Altus, Oklahoma, where he attended school and later built a home and life for his sons.
A man like Tommy didn’t need many words; his presence alone spoke volumes. He devoted his life to raising his three sons, Thomas “Chris,” Jason, and Brandon. Known for being a man of his word and for the strength behind a firm handshake, Tommy was deeply loyal. In 1972, he began working for Jim Click as a wrecker driver, a job that soon grew into an entrusted friendship that extended far beyond the dealership. Tommy dedicated 40 years of service to Southwest Oklahoma before retiring in 2012 from Wilmes Chevrolet.
Tommy was a simple man and a creature of habit. He didn’t want for much beyond a cold Dr Pepper and time spent with family. Every day after work, he would pick up his granddaughter for a ride to the post office - a small ritual that became a treasured memory.
One of the greatest roles Tommy ever fulfilled was being the primary caretaker for his youngest son, Brandon. He made sure Brandon got to experience the best parts of life. The pair often “worked” together on wrecker calls. Brandon served as the trusted road-map expert with Tommy happily following his navigation.
Tommy passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025. His life was one of loyalty, love, and quiet strength. The world is better for the years he spent in it, and those who knew him will hold his memory close forever, including his sons, Chris and wife, Katherine and Jason and wife, Cheryl; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kailea, Justin, Clay, and Chase; great-grandchildren, Cord, Bryson, and Paislee; and many other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon; mother, Chrystine; and sister, Anita Ellerbee.
Services for Tommy will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26th, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest next to his son, Brandon, at Altus City Cemetery.
