Truman Wesley “Wes” Price, 90, passed away with family by his side on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma. A Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Altus City Cemetery with military honors rendered by the United States Air Force. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. 

 

Wes was born December 13, 1933, to Lonnie Douglas and Clara Annie Mae (Hammonds) Price in Anderson, South Carolina. Upon graduating from High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in September of 1955. He attended the non-residential USAF Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in October of 1975. During his career with the Air Force, he became a Senior Master Sergeant and worked his way up to becoming a First Sergeant for his unit. During his time in the Air Force, he married the love of his life, Eloise Betty (Post) Price on May 28, 1971. They spent 33 years together prior to her passing in 2004. He was a part of the VFW in Altus. He was also a Giddeon providing bibles to hotels, prisoners, and correctional facilities. He loved to make music and play for others, but he especially liked to play for local nursing homes. 

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Betty Price; daughter, Anna Post; father, Lonnie Douglas Price; mother, Clara Annie Mae Price; sisters, Julia Mae Honea, Alma Ruth Morgan, and Bonnie Price; and brother, Alfred Price. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Frances Rowlett and husband, Max; son, John Post; sister, Wilma Jean Stephens; brother, Joe Price.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mark Pierce, Angela Banister, Nikki Rowlett, D.J. Rowlett and wife, Melody, and Ryan Post.
