Veronica Irene (Galvan) Luper was born on November 7, 1976, in Hollis, Oklahoma, to Pedro Aranda and Juanita Benevidez Vasquez. She was raised in Hollis, where she attended local schools and graduated from Hollis High School.
On November 13, 2011, Veronica married the love of her life, James Roland Luper. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Veronica was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother to her two sons. She was a firm, no-nonsense woman whose warmth and kindness were always evident to those who knew her. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Veronica had a special way of making each person feel loved and valued, and there was never any doubt about how deeply she cared for those closest to her.
She loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and it was often said that Veronica would be the first to catch a fish, wearing a proud grin that everyone loved to see. She was also an exceptional public speaker, carrying herself with confidence and speaking with conviction, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of hearing her.
Veronica was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was known for her devotion to her faith, often reading her Bible and never missing an opportunity to share the love of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Knowing that Veronica’s faith guided her throughout her life brings comfort to those who loved her.
Veronica passed from this life on July 31, 2026, at the age of 49. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Vasquez, and her sister, Cecilia Galvan.
Those left to honor her memory include her beloved husband, James Luper; her father, Pedro Aranda; her sons, Martin Inez Morales and Diamond Rey Morales; her brothers, Servando Galvan and Santiago Galvan; her sister, Victoria Galvan; her grandchildren, Lakoda Morales, Janessa Morales, Iseliana Leigh Morales, Kelhani Hill, and Soleil Coleman; and her nieces and nephews, Marc’Quis Galvan, Kristian Galvan, Sewrvana Galvan, Aaron Galvan, Lailaa Torres, Juanita Garces, Salvador Garces, Servando Galvan, Jr., and Santiago Galvan.
As Veronica’s family and friends reflect on her life, they find comfort in knowing that her faith carried her throughout her journey and that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her love and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
