Bud taught his sisters how to play and they enjoyed getting together for family jam sessions. He was an avid reader, liked gardening, taking photographs of old buildings, and taking trips with his family. He enjoyed a fulfilling life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Grace; and sisters, Mary Richardson, Nina Park, and Dorothy Sue Sirmons. He is survived by two sisters, Doris Kerbo and husband, Harold of Oklahoma City and Mickey Travis of Mission, Texas; brother, Arnold Kelly and wife, Shigemi of Azle, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
