Yves Montez Raiden was born on March 28, 1966 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Shirley Raiden. He grew up and attended schools in Miami, Florida. Monte worked primarily as a restaurant cook for many years before his health declined. He enjoyed playing dominoes and visiting with family and friends.
His mother, Shirley Raiden; and cousin and caretaker, Joseph Jackson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Ciara West, Yves Booker, Shante Booker, Kaziah Jefferson, and Fairron McKinney; grandchildren, Aliajah, Xzavier, Matthew, Royalin, Elijah; cousin and long-time caretaker, Deannia Sherman; and many cousins, aunts, and friends.
