They were both born and raised in Southwest Oklahoma and are descendants of Pioneers who settled in this area before statehood. They have three children and ten grandchildren who keep the couple busy, enjoying every moment with them – spoiling the grandkids is their specialty!

The Kincannon family established Kincannon Funeral home in 1997 to provide respectful memorial services to Southwest Oklahoma. In over a quarter of a century Gary and Tracy Kincannon have served literally thousands of families in their time of need and count their service most rewarding. They were heard countless times stating that ‘helping others never gets old’.

Although Gary and Tracy have stepped away from the day-to-day operations at Kincannon Funeral Home for their retirement, they are still available to serve others on occasion.

Tara is a 5th generation Jackson Countian (formerly Old Greer County, Texas). She obtained her associate in arts degree from Western Oklahoma State College  and a Certificate of Mastery in Child Development, later obtaining certification as a Certified Child Passenger Safety Instructor for SafeKids Worldwide. Throughout her career Tara worked various administrative positions, always in places where she could advocate for the underserved and within community development and public health and safety. Although she loved her work, she always felt that she was called for something else. In 2020, on a whim, she took what she thought would be a part-time office position with Kincannon Funeral Home. Little did she know that this was the very place the Lord had prepared her for.

Tara is married to Michael Turner and their blended family includes two daughters, a son, and six grandchildren. She has a servant’s heart and has been actively engaged in her community as a Blair School Board member, Warren Cemetery Board Secretary, Jackson County Community Health Action Team member, founding member of the Blair Community Foundation and in the youth group at church. In her spare time Tara enjoys quilting, designing prayer and memory quilts. Her greatest treasure is time spent with family.
